Founded in 1592, Ireland’s leading university draws in hordes of visitors as well as students, all seeking enlightenment. On display at the trinity College Library is the Book of Kells, written in the 9th century and which describes the Gospels in exquisitely illuminated pages made of vellum. The Old Library also has an exceptional collection of antique and rare books.
