Perhaps the biggest Chinese New Year celebration outside Asia can be found in San Francisco, where the festivities revolve around a grand parade beginning at Market and 2nd Streets. Of course, as in other celebrations ushering in a new year in the lunar calendar, there isn’t a shortage in gaily decorated floats, the Golden Dragon, lion dances, marching bands and the ever-anticipated Miss Chinatown USA pageant.
